Zoya Nail Polish pics
I was going through a stack of beauty mags last night before I donate them to the library. I kept seeing Zoya featured over and over and decided to check them out. You know I am crazy about Honeybee Gardens and their natural, no stink, easy off nail polish. Their only downside is limited colors. Zoya has 300 knock out colors. They are free of Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor and DBP (dibutyl phthalate). They are advertised as long-lasting and are raved about in the publications. But, the line smells like nail polish and will require the standard polish remover. These are $6 on the website
with $6.95 shipping. If you use 'ZOYA' at checkout you will get $6 off (essentially a free polish). You can also purchase them in salons. The salon finder is here. They also have a blog with some interesting articles. There are three gorgeous fall and winter collections. The Princess will be hauling some of these when she gets the royal $$$ coffers up again.

I've meant to post this Zoyathis post. I am kind of surprised at how well the colors photograph. They actually look very similar to each other when you are just looking at the bottles.
I have to say, Zoya is probably my favorite nail polish brand. I like the Honeybee Gardens polish for their lack of polish smell, but Zoya has the best color choices by far. These are rich and you can get decent coverage with one coat. I normally use two.
Out of these, I like Kalista (mahogany brown) and Jasmine (copper red) the best. The wear is good. I can usually go at least a couple of days before touching up small chips. haul for some time now, but I never got around to taking a pic of it. These are the nail polishes I ordered from back on

Zoya Exchange here.
I traded in 11 old polishes. The new bottles cost $3 each, shipped. Regular price is $6 before shipping. The only one I didn't like is 'Elodie'. It is a bit too bright for me. I've already traded it at Makeup Alley.

American Apparel Launches Nail Polish Line pictures
The Full Line Up of American Apparel Nail Polish

There are some really beautiful colours in this brand new nail polish line by American Apparel. Simply called NailLacquer, the range has 18 shades - look out for on trend Factory Grey and ivy green Hunter. At $6 a bottle, they're affordable, and remind me of ButterLONDON's eclectic mix of architectural and bright shades.
2010 Emerging Nail Trends pics

There's a real pastel theme emerging for next year's nails, sparked in no small part by Chanel's creamy fondant green Jade polish this autumn. Two new shades from Revlon launching in March have caught my eye, Lilac Pastille and Minted - both must-haves for holiday nails (because I feel they need a bit of a tan to wear well and not strip colour from hands). I'm quite keen to try them with black moons or tips too - especially the lilac - for statement nails. Watch out too for some stunning shades coming from Marks & Spencer (yes, really!), including another washed mint version, and the brightest of yellows.

O.P.I South Beach Nail Polish
As I mentioned back then, I'm super excited about Done Out In Deco. It's a creamy milky purple with very slight hint of grey in it and no glitters at all. It's super pretty, and definitely nothing near over-the-top. I'm not a fan of bright bold nail colors (don't ask me why), so this purple is definitely on the top of my fav list. Hmm...how should I say this...it's not a crazy purple, but more of a grown up chic purple. =D It's very opaque, so you can definitely get away with just a nice 2 coats.
The other color that I got is Suzi and the Lifeguard. The reason I got it is that I do not have any pink in my collection yet. Hah! =P It's a shimmery yellow based light pink. It's slightly runnier than Done Out in Deco, and the shimmers are not chunky shimmers, but very very fine. Again, nothing too crazy, just a normal pink. For this one, I need to apply 3 coats to get it to be totally opaque.
Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure:
The swatches below are only 1 coat, and they're done in a hurry (no flash, in-door lighting). This is my first time doing swatches of nail polishes, so please pardon the messy and unprofessional swatch.
Overall, I like both of them. But if I'd have to choose only 1 favorite, it'll be Done Out in Deco. It's definitely more unique than the other one.
